Washington, D.C.—The GW Law Moot Court Board is pleased to announce that 2Ls Michelle Ramus and Elizabeth Upton have won the 2016 – 2017 Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition.

We also want to recognize the following students who were honored with awards based off their performance in this year’s competition:

Best Overall Competitors: 1st Place – Catherine Akenhead; 2nd Place – David Richards; 3rd Place – Jarret Erickson

Best Overall Brief: 1st Place – Catherine Akenhead & David Richards; 2nd Place – Joshua Dansby & Tesch West and Rubin Waranch & Taylor Glogiewicz; 3rd Place – Gretchen Schumacher & Yun Lin

Best Overall Advocate: 1st Place – Catherine Akenhead; 2nd Place – David Hart; 3rd Place – David Richards

We would like to thank all of our volunteer judges and especially Judge Raymond M. Kethledge (Sixth Circuit), Judge Kathleen M. O’Malley (Federal Circuit) and Judge William J. Kayatta, Jr. (First Circuit) for judging our finals.
